How we started….
We took over the Pyet Deli in 2017, a little bit further down the Main Street, from where we are now.
We spent four and a half fantastic years there, serving the community from our small, but perfectly formed shop. Getting to know the locals, visitors to the area, walkers and cyclists passing through the village.
When an opportunity presented itself in the village, we couldn’t let it pass us by….so we packed up and moved out…and the best part of the story – our old Deli is now home to Gillespies Family Butchers.
Who could have believed that we’d ever see this shop return to being a butchers, just as it was from the early 1800’s until late 1900’s.
Where we are now…
In 2020, The Old Bakehouse Restaurant closed its doors and was put up for sale and in late 2021, we were over the moon to collect the keys as the new owners.
We set to work, converting the old bar area into the new spacious Deli, with seating. The restaurant received a makeover, adding our personal family touch, making it feel sumptuous, welcoming and intimate. We also installed a bar and seating to compliment our extensive drinks and cocktail menu.
Our doors opened in November 2021 and we haven’t looked back.
We continue to strive to provide great food in great surroundings, which we hope means you have a great time with us!

The Pyet and the community…
West Linton has a wonderful and very strong sense of community spirit and at The Pyet, we love to be a part of that.
Pop into the Deli and you’ll be sure to meet many of our locals, having a blether.
We love hosting families, larger groups, parties and special events in our restaurant and often have our family Ceilidh band play for us.
We are also very proud of our long standing association with our local football team, West Linton Hotspur. We admire the clubs ambition, drive and passion to develop and are delighted to support them on their journey.
